GBH ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT TO TSCPAs'
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS COMMITTEE

HOUSTON, TEXAS, MAY 23, 2008 –– GBH CPAs, PC announced today that one of its partners, Jeff Houston, has been selected to join the Texas Society of CPAs’ Professional Standards Committee effective June 1, 2008. The primary objective of the committee is to respond to exposure drafts of the FASB, SEC, AICPA, GASB, PCAOB and any other accounting and auditing standard-setting body that has an impact on the practice of accountancy in Texas. The Professional Standards Committee is responsible for all phases of the response process including identifying exposure drafts that warrant a response, assigning responsibility for reviewing exposure drafts, developing draft responses and approving the final letters to standard-setting bodies.

Jeff Houston stated, “By representing our firm on this important committee, GBH can have an impact on the future of accountancy in Texas and nationally. Public scrutiny and news media attention focused on the accounting profession and how its business is done is higher than ever. We believe this is an important time to have a voice in setting the standards and rules under which CPAs will operate in the future.
